A Snapshot In The Life Of…Rayne Embley (fashion, lifestyle & motherhood blogger))

Rayne Embley

Ok, so who out there feels like they have 1000 things to do and not enough time to do them.

Who out there are mum’s wanting a career and feeling like unless they have kids in fulltime day care and work until midnight nothing will ever get done.

Mix that with a little bit of guilt for not having a spotless house for my husband to come home to and you have me in a nutshell.  Actually a recipe! A recipe of my life that feels like it has no other outcome.

3 kids + husband + dog + mortgage = little sleep, untidy house, unkempt hair and a facial-less face.

It seems like the more kids I have, the more frantic my lifestyle but somehow the business’s opportunities are flowing like they have never flowed before.

My recipe is the same but now = entrepreneur

SO HOW DO WE MAKE THE TIME? How do we really become the ‘super mum’ that so many of us aspire to be?

It all starts with GRATITUDE. Have you ever had one of those moments, almost like an outer body experience where you have felt wholeheartedly that where you are at this moment in time is exactly where your god intended you to be?

I have those moments often and the first thing it makes me do is smile with my whole body and say thank you. Thank you for my amazing life and all the opportunities that have come my way.  I am so grateful to be blessed at this very moment. I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

I absolutely believe that when you are truly grateful for everything you have at this moment it allows the universe to come together and start presenting more unbelievable opportunities and things to be grateful for.

Tell us three things about yourself

  • I’m 30
  • I have three kids
  • I love life!

What’s been the biggest health challenge you’ve overcome and what did you learn from this experience?

My third pregnancy I was put on bed rest for having low fluid at 34 weeks. I had to check myself, slow down and really take note of how I was looking after myself. After two near perfect pregnancies it took my by surprise.

What’s your top tip for getting your day off to a great start?

I love waking up to a clean kitchen so make sure you get the kitchen tidied before you go to bed.

Your brekky usually consists of…

Nazafit mueslie. It’s a home made concoction I make in a Lady Ship blender. Oats, apple, dates, coconut and almonds. Yum!

Which foods do you eat to nourish your body and give you vitality?

Spinach and avocado. We eat truck loads of this in our house. I try and put spinach in everything. I also love a good fresh home made juice.

Why is fitness an important part of your life and do you have an exercise routine?

There is nothing like the feeling of finishing a workout. Whether it’s a walk or a Xtend Barre class, once it’s done you are set for the day. I love food so it also helps me relax when I feel like splurging. I don’t have a routine as such as it doesn’t work with the little kiddies but I walk or run whenever I get a chance and have a mini circuit I do at home.

Your ‘perfect day’ in a nutshell would be…

Workout, awesome eggs for breaky with the family, family outing, rest at home, early dinner watching the sunset on the beach and finish with an ice-cream.

Describe what motivated you to choose your current business or career path?

I wanted something I could do just for me. It’s ever changing and forming at the moment so I am just going with the flow. It’s really exciting.

What business or career challenge have you overcome and what one piece of advice would you like to pass on to others?

One of the major lessons I have learnt is to only invest money where you have a certain amount of control. If you loose interest or step away, take your money with you!

And lastly, do you have a recipe you’d like to share with us?

My favourite quick and easy spinach salad lunch.

–       spinach leaves

–       walnuts

–       tin of tuna

–       cheese

–       dill cucumbers

–       pickled chillies

–       carrot

–       four bean mix

–       dressing – lemon juice, olive oil, touch of maple balsamic, salt and pepper.
